At one point, I couldn’t imagine being a grandma. Now, I can’t imagine NOT being one. I’m truly blessed-thank You, Jesus. “Come to me all you who are weary and heavy burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Happy Blessed #sunday 💙🌴☀️ Walking my dog the other morning, deeply missing my mom, and these brilliant violet petals caught my attention and made me smile. 💙💜💙💜💙 Rereading one of my favorite devotionals. While taking my granddaughter on a little jaunt to the local grocery store, I wanted to take her thru the floral section. I was in the mood for a pick-me-up, but didn’t know exactly what I wanted. As Athena sang to herself in the stroller, we wondered around the flowers and plants. I spotted the vase first, then these Irises spoke to to me. Although they don’t have a scent, their beautiful color is intoxicating enough. But the truth is that I am trying not to worry about certain situations and people I love and care about deeply. When I was a kid, I wrote to my grandparents every week. It was exciting to receive their replies, with my name printed on the envelope. Nowadays, it’s texting-even email has gone the way of the Do-do, for the most part.
